Very rare Japanese Hakata Figurine 0f Tea Ceremony master Sen No Rikkyu

Sen Rikyu was a 16th century influential tea master who perfected the Cha-no-yu, the Way of tea. He served two historically important figures, Oda Nobunaga and Toyotomi Hideyoshi, eventually being forced to commit ritual suicide - Seppuku by Hideyoshi because he knew too much. He holds a ceramic tsubo - a tea container with kanji mean excellent tea in his left hand, and on his right palm you see tea leaves. About mid.50's
