OG-154 Japanese Antique Dolls of Young Kabuki Dancers with jingles, Taisho period (1912-1924)

Unique very big Japanese antique pair of dolls represent two young Kabuki actors which are dancing Sambaso dance in very dynamic pose. Boys are wearing in traditional high stripes hats and wonderfully crafted silk brocade costumes with pine trees and flowers motif. Each of a boy stands on one leg and holds other leg suspended in well balanced dance position. Their very expressive faces carved of wood and covered in with a highly burnished gofun. These magnificent dolls crafted in Kyoto in mid Taisho era (1912-1924), ensuring the finest quality and craftsmanship.
