Japanese Maiko (apprentice geisha) wooden lacquered shoes
Very rare 1930's Japanese traditional Maiko's lacquered
wooden shoes POKKURI with hand painted flying golden and
silver flying cranes , Japanese symbol of love forever,
and and pine trees. Small metal bell is attached inside
each sandal. The inner sole made from woven straw
and straps are from kimonos' silk brocade.
Very good condition according to age.
Measurements: 7,5 cm tall and 20,0 cm long;
Weight: 620 grams
