It's been a long time since Japanese people began wearing western clothes in their daily lives. But kimono, the Japanese traditional clothes are not something what can be leave behind. Elaborate design and sumptuous silk material  reached the hearts and minds of people all over the world.
A lot of kimono have been kept carefully in the chest of each Japanese family for a long time. 
Men's kimono, juban (the very easy -to-wear under kimono) and haori (kimono jacket) are on the whole more subdued in color than women's. On this page we have posted a selection of the men's attire: kimono,  haori and juban. Haori are mid-length loose clothes that serve as light coats to be worn over kimonos. Haori were originally meant to be worn by men as a component of the hakama.
Selected items on this page include a variety of silk fabrics, wool and cotton fabrics and have been decorated with a wide range of techniques.
