Japanese HAORI is mid-length loose jacket that serve as a coat to be worn over a kimono. Haori were originally meant to be worn by men as a component of the formal attire.

This is Japanese pre WWII traditional man's black silk haori with beautifully rendered landscape scene on khaki silk lining and with five samurai family emblem or MON. The colors are rich and effective.
This garment is shown also with the lining turned outward, in the fashion preferred by some Westerners for display or wear.
The haori is in excellent condition inside and out and has very rich taste
